JBP Consignment

How It Works

JetBoatPilot is proud to announce the introduction of our new boat consignment service. Jet boat owners who would like to sell their boat but prefer a professional to handle the transaction can hire the experts at JetBoatPilot to market and sell their boat for them.

  • JetBoatPilot will market and sell your jet boat as per our Consignment Contract.
  • Our staff conducts a thorough 100-point inspection and assigns a Vessel Health Score (VHS) to your boat to help justify pricing and build buyer confidence.
  • Your boat is professionally photographed; marketing is published across relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook Marketplace, BoatTrader.com, and jet-boat forums/groups).
  • All inquiries and buyer interactions are handled by JBP—no seller involvement required.
  • Upon sale completion, payment is remitted from proceeds minus a 10% commission (before taxes), the standard consignment rate in Florida.
  • Provide your boat title and trailer MSO/Title/Registration for a smooth transaction. If there’s a lien, payoff/title transfer to the buyer can take 30+ days. JBP will not pay off loans prior to sale; payoff funds must come from the buyer.
  • For more information, email sales@jetboatpilot.com or call 850-867-1410.

FAQ

Can JBP sell my boat if it’s not a jet boat?

Not at this time. Our expertise is in the jet-boat segment. That specialization—plus our inspection process—helps us command premium prices for our sellers.

How long does it take to sell my boat?

Each boat sale can vary. Some can sell the same day you drop the boat off, and others might take weeks or months. This depends on time of year, condition, price, and boat model. We can estimate at consignment, but it’s still an estimate.

What happens if I cancel the consignment contract prior to sale?

The seller may withdraw the vessel prior to final sale by written notice. If withdrawn early, the consignor agrees to pay all direct advertising costs and a flat-rate service fee for labor incurred during marketing.

Does JetBoatPilot offer or imply any sort of warranty for my consigned boat?

No, JetBoatPilot does not offer nor imply that any additional warranty be assigned to your consigned vessel.

Do I need to maintain my current boat insurance while it’s consigned?

Yes. Maintain your current boat insurance policy while the boat is consigned. JBP carries garage liability insurance, but your vessel must remain insured—especially if it’s financed.

What if my boat needs repairs or maintenance before I consign it?

JBP is not a factory-authorized service center, so we cannot perform warranty work. If your boat is out of warranty or needs routine service, we offer those services—please contact customer care before delivery.
