WINCH STAND BOARDING STEP KIT For 19'/21' Yamaha Models

I installed this on my Shoreland'r trailer for a Yamaha 195s. The pieces are all nice quality and installation is relatively easy. I recommend watching the JBP installation video to help guide you.

Why not 5 stars? I'd like to have a little wider step on the winch. This would ensure traction for us folks with skis for feet. I'd also add another mid-step in between the top and the tongue. Having an additional point of contact in between avoids having to stretch too far for the shorter-legged folks, especially when wet.

The other thing would be to machine the cuts to avoid tightening the top step plate over the "hump" on the winch. The JBP video briefly shows the little hump, but it's not mentioned and I didn't see it until I went to tighten things down. Not a huge deal, but I'd rather have a flush bracket so there's no exposed gaps or edges. All the other machining is perfectly matched and lined up.

The machined edges of the plate are exposed and can cut skin, so I'll probably add some car door jamb edges or something similar to avoid scraping it.

The Marine Mat is the same quality stuff they sell for the 3D numbers and other kits/pieces. The adhesive sticks great and the material provides enough cushion and traction. The cuts were exact to the pieces with perfect fit.

Not a kit issue, but Yamaha design... There aren't any easily accessible places to grab up front to pull yourself in. I'll probably keep a suction handle on board and maybe a little quick-connect rope with handle to help make it easier.

Overall, I'd say 4.5 stars. It's a nice kit and gives a little extra safety to climbing on at the launch or driveway. Well worth the investment.

Was as easy to install as the video shows. A great add on.

First Time Ordered online. The package was received on time but it was missing one item. The prime 94 container was dry no glue available. I called the number on their website to let them know that I was missing a part. They took care of it and they shipped me the missing part at not cost to me. The videos that they have in their YouTubeChannel are fantastic.

I think the platform step should actually be changed sideways instead of how it is . This would allow the foot or shoe to actually stand without concerns of it being too narrow for a single step up? Also to me this design is also missing some extra hand held attachment that can allow the boarding much safer ? As it stands right nowit’s only one step up or down without the added hand support ?
