Bought 4 Came Back for More

I'd always used the traditional round bumpers with previous boats, but these looked cool and functional so I grabbed the 4-pack.

With the 195s 19', I thought 4 would be fine but after the first outing I realized the middle section needed to have some protection, too. JBP should add a "6-Pack" option to the discount pricing.😁 I think it's worth having a couple more for sure.

Just as they show in all the videos, they have multiple ways to configure them. If using flat, be aware this may not be enough protection to keep all of your boat protected. With the cleats in front and rear being pretty spaced out, the mid-section curve is more exposed.

The material is tough and durable with just enough cushion. Even with pressure/weight they probably don't compress more than a 1/2". So if clacking another boat at the cove, it won't flatten or damage as long as you set them up for the right coverage.

They look super flexible, but when you first get them they're a little stiffer. It wasn't as easy to roll into a the ball shape as I thought but it holds in position and works as advertised. I like that you can run them long-ways along the rub rail, too.

I did get the "Figure-8" straps with them but prefer another brand of quick height adjust fender lines with a slide-lock instead. The Figure-8's can work if the height is just right for your cleat, but that's often not the case. With the lack of rails on my Yamaha, the cleats or tower are my main connections. The middle cleat isn't as easy to get to quickly so the tower is a good option when we need it.

Storage is a breeze. They lay flat in every compartment on the 19' Yamaha, other than the anchor locker. I can stow gear then lay these on top without issue.

Not to mention, they look cool and won't scuff up your boat or anyone else's. Having extra floatation on board if needed is an added plus. While not USCG-approved for PFDs, they're just as buoyant as my throwables and could be used in a pinch.

Great product!

These things are awesome!

We have used these on the lake for a while. To be honest, we use them a lot for just floating. We found another great use. Link two together and it’ll hold your beer too! Haha.
