Thrust Vector L Install Video
I bought my boat new and within the first week bought a set of thrust vectors from Jet Boat Pilot to improve the low speed steering. The installation was very simple following along to the YouTube video. It really is a great video. The only difficult step was the final one, installing the kick-stand. I couldn't figure it out, even watching the video over a few times. After staring at it for a few minutes, I figured it out and it was actually quite a simple step. I would suggest adding to the instructions that the kickstand is installed in a vertical position (I was trying to install it horizontally). My first test drive after installation was a dramatic difference. My low-speed steering was 100% improved. I was no longer a cork on the water and could maneuver into my boat slip so much easier. I highly recommend a set for any jet boat user.
Easy install with the second set on my boat. Much easier to install than the old model I had from 2019-ish. Installed the lateral thrusters for the first time, also easy with the video support. Looking to test this Sunday!
Made a world of difference with low speed steering
Had some problems with the install. Called Jet Boat and the lady said she would have a tech call be back. Never happened. Still need to run the boat to see the effects of the thruster.
Why did I wait 3 years to purchase this? The product is not a “crutch” some naysayers, said it was, the thrust vector is a smart investment for simplifying your low speed maneuverability. Regardless of your ability to split your throttles. The steering response is drastically improved and feels much tighter at the helm. You will be docking like an old pro on your first trip out. The installation was simple follow the video. The kickstand installed without any problems. I’m looking forward to add the reverse thruster now.
