Lateral Thruster- Reverse Steering Enhancement (Single Engine 2012-2018 MY)

Good stuff, does what says. Makes backing at idle much better.

I've been boating my entire life, as the son of a sea captain is born into, but all my boats have been outboards or jet skis. My 2018 AR190 is my first jet boat. Within the first few weeks of owning it I could see what a learning curve jet propulsion was for tight maneuvering. The Articulating keel yamaha added to their boats helps minimally but still needs momentum in the water to work. So in the first month of owning it I added the Lateral Thrust Vectors from @JetBoatPilot. That is an amazing product with hands down superior function! . Without the need for forward or reverse momentum I can completely maneuver the boat with ease! Check out the videos on JBP's website. If I had to remove EVERY mod i've ever done to my boat except one... without a doubt or question the Lateral Thrust Vectors would be the one to stay!

First the product comes in such a complete and neat layout the instructions and videos are crystal clear. Instilation is a breeze. The most amazing aspect was how it functions I was able to navigate narrow canals that had previously been taboo do to the lack of maneuverability of my jet drive. Thank you JetBoatPilot your product has transformed my vessel and it is awesome, I don’t do reviews and seldom chime in ,however I can’t express how impressive this product is from unboxing to instilation to performance. I highly recommend installing Trust Vectors and Lateral Trusters on your boat you will not be disappointed.

I bought the lateral thrusters for my 2018 190 fsh want better reverse steering Around the dock and got that in spades. Also what they don’t mention is while waiting for a dock to open up so you can trailer home station keeping is a breeze once you start to utilize them. I also do a lot of brides fishing and it makes maneuvering around the pylons a whole lot easier in current.

I bought the lateral thrusters WHILE I was deployed....sight unseen. All based off my knowledge of how Will runs his company and develops products.

Well, I’ve been back for about 2-3 months and for various reasons (boat projects, mounting Raymarine transducer, installing battery charger/maintainer, steering cable binding...etc). We finally got to take the boat out for a long day cruise.

I have got to say, even my wife was pleasantly surprised how much the lateral thrusters helped us dock at the water restaurant ! It was nothing short of amazing (compared to before lateral thrusters). I even had the current coming back in, pushing me away from the dock. Wheel turned against the lock, bumped the throttle a little higher to overcome the current and the boat literally “walked” into the pier.
